This Tuesday night Democrats over performed in a big way in Senate District 8!

While the Republican candidate won the three person race, I hope you'll join me in giving a HUGE thank you to Nathan Brewer for stepping up in the fight for a better Oklahoma.

Nathan's candidacy embodied the work before us as Democrats to campaign and govern for the needs of our communities instead of pandering to extremism.

We are so grateful for his partnership in fighting for Senate District 8, and his work to mobilize neighborhoods.

And Nathan's work, the work of his team and the Democrats who believed in his message made BIG waves!

Democrats improved our margin in Senate District 8 by nearly 19 points over the Presidential performance in 2024.

Last year, Vice President Harris was the only Democratic candidate in Senate District 8, and she won 2 precincts.

In 2022, Democrats in Senate District 8 didn't have a Senate candidate to vote for, but Superintendent Joy Hofmeister won 5 precincts in SD 8.

On Tuesday, Nathan Brewer won 10 precincts!!

This matters for so many reasons. Our neighbors throughout SD 8 deserve the chance to vote against the current Republican leadership failing our state.

But just as importantly, chipping away at precincts like this is how we revitalize and rebuild a Democratic Party that flips seats!

And every precinct we can flip in these special elections, every county party we can mobilize helps improve margins that will bring huge dividends in the 2026 campaigns.

That's why we're so excited about our partnership with our local chapters and contest every race! [[link removed]]

So thank you again to Nathan. Thank you to the volunteers in SD 8, the County Parties that engaged and helped run this race.

And a thank you to you for supporting this work.

Because of your help staff at OKDEMS was able to support every single canvassing event Nathan held. OKDEMS team members knocked on over 1,000 doors for this election!

We were able to supply his campaign with quality campaign literature and hand-outs. We coordinated phone banks with enthusiastic Democrats from out of state.

This hard work from Nathan, from volunteers in his community, and from us here at the Party is what we are all called to do in this historic moment.

The work is long and difficult. And the progress we make isn't fast enough. But I know that it is necessary and transformative.

The fight continues!
