John -- I’m pretty mad about this press release my opponent’s campaign sent out this week after she won the Republican primary. I’m going to ask you to rush a donation to help me fight back in a moment, but first let me explain why this should make all of us furious:

• We have passed significant gun safety reforms -- the first federal reforms in decades -- through the House. Anyone, including Karen Handel, who calls passing measures supported by over 90% of Americans an “utter failure” is simply beholden to the gun lobby.

• Apparently Karen Handel thinks the hard work I’ve done as a Delta Flight Attendant, becoming a gun safety activist working to honor the legacy of my son, and the movement we built together to beat her in 2018 by 1% is a bunch of “doing nothing."

Here’s the truth: While I’ve been standing up for my son and for our communities, Karen Handel has been a career politician -- running for office over and over and over again. 

So, this statement was just more of the same from Karen -- a bunch of lies, pure and simple. She's even given me a Trump-like nickname -- “Lying Lucy.” Now, that seems pretty hypocritical... doesn’t it?

This general election race is officially underway, and it’s about to start heating up. As you already know, Handel and her national Republican supporters will lob any attack at us -- no matter how heinous. We need to be ready to respond, and I need your grassroots support, John.
