Our National Leaders will help lead that charge. But ultimately, it is up to you. We need you to step up and own this movement. You have the power, and this is the time to exercise it.
John,
This was a historic evening for No Labels, and an important one for our nation.
We announced three outstanding National Leaders: Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), Representative Jared Golden (D-ME), and Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA). You can watch a brief video introducing them here.
These leaders get it. We are in a moment of profound importance to our nation’s future, but Congress is asleep at the wheel. It is time to shake both parties awake and get them focused on the road ahead.
Our National Leaders will help lead that charge. But ultimately, it is up to you. We need you to step up and own this movement. You have the power, and this is the time to exercise it.
On June 26, we are hosting an event unlike any other in the history of our movement: A public bicameral meeting of House and Senate members from both parties, in the U.S. Capitol, to kickstart a national discussion about how to move forward together as one nation.
You will be able to watch and participate in this event live. But it will only happen if you demand that your leaders be tough enough to show up in that room.
Tonight I am asking you to call on your member of Congress to attend this one-of-a-kind public bicameral meeting. You can reply to this email or click here and we will help you send a message to your member.
If they do not hear from people like you, they will not feel the heat. They will not show up.
Tonight’s event was proof of the energy in our community. The response exceeded our wildest expectations.
This evening has given us fresh momentum, and the public meeting on June 26 is an even bigger and more public opportunity to shift the conversation in Washington and beyond. If it is successful, it will be the first of many meetings where we bring leaders together around one table.
We are the only movement doing this work. We need you to claim your power and play your part as a citizen and a leader.
As the saying goes, If not us, who? If not now, when?
