The following appeal was issued by a coalition of grassroots, anti-war organizations including the ANSWER Coalition, involved in organizing the People's Assembly for Peace and Justice.
Momentum is continuing to build for the People's Assembly for Peace and Justice to counter the NATO summit in Dayton! More and more organizations throughout Ohio and across the country are signing on to endorse, outreach teams are hitting the streets on a daily basis, and now additional transportation centers have been announced to bring people to Dayton!
In less than three weeks, politicians from NATO countries will gather in Dayton to plot their next wars. For over 75 years, NATO has been a dealer of destruction in place like Afghanistan and Libya and threatened the entire world with devastating global conflict. The People's Assembly will begin with a march through Dayton, and then transition to a conference on the need to build the movement against war and empire.?
