[Family Policy Alliance Foundation Logo <[link removed] Policy Alliance Foundation>] PODCAST A Supreme Court Case That Could Undermine Your Parental Rights
A new threat to parents’ rights has made its way to the nation’s highest Court. The Supreme Court Case Mahmoud v. Taylor strikes at the very heart of parents’ ability to direct their child's upbringing. In this case, parents in Maryland asked their local school board to excuse their elementary school children from lessons featuring LGBTQ-themed books. The school denied their request, labeled it “hateful,” and escalated the matter all the way to the Supreme Court. Some of the books involved in the case reportedly encouraged very young children—some as young as four—to explore homosexual and transgender themes and search for explicit content online. Parents simply asked for the ability to opt their children out. In this week’s podcast, our Director of Public Policy Joseph Kohm and Grace Youngson unpack the real-world implications of this case—what it means for your parental and religious rights, your children, and what steps you can take. “Every parent should be as horrified as I am that we are even debating whether children should be sexualized,” said Grace Youngson. Your rights as a parent are on the line. Find out what this case means for your family—and what you can do about it. WATCH below , on [YouTube <[link removed]>]
