I want to wish you a joyful Pride Month — on what would have been the 50th
anniversary of the Boston Pride Parade.
Even in the midst of so much hurt and uncertainty, may we find inspiration
in the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, which has so often been at the
forefront of the fight for equality and justice.
Together, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the agitators, resistors,
persistors, and leaders who have stood up for their rights and the rights
of others — to love, to be heard, and to be seen.
[ [link removed] ]Today, to celebrate and honor Pride, will you split a
$3 contribution between the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth
(BAGLY) and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition? Both are
organizations in Boston that are working for LGBTQ+ liberation and equity.

The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth (BAGLY) is a youth-led and
adult-supported advocacy organization that centers community building and
offers services such as drop in youth programs, leadership workshops, and
mental and behavioral health services.
The Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition fights to end
discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. Transgender
people — and in particular transgender people of color — face
discrimination and violence simply for showing up in the world. That is an
injustice that the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition is
working every day to end.

(BAGLY) and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition right now to
help both of these groups work for queer liberation and build community.
Today as we celebrate the beauty and resilience of the queer, transgender,
and non-binary community, remember that joy is a form of resistance.
