I just wrote an op-ed on NJ.com about Trump’s awful proposed cuts to Medicaid.

🩺 106,643 people in our district rely on Medicaid. It mostly supports low-income children, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and seniors.

🏥 Medicare is critical to the financial solvency of our overall healthcare system. If Trump’s Medicaid cuts get passed, we could see layoffs and service reductions in healthcare in NJ and beyond.

🤑 Republicans want to gut Medicaid for one simple reason – to pay for massive tax breaks for their billionaire backers.

My Democratic colleagues and I are fighting back against this disastrous policy. But ultimately, we can’t block these cuts by ourselves because we’re in the House minority. If we really want to hold Republicans accountable, that means flipping the House in 2026.
