Hi John,
We are careening toward a September deadline when the U.S. Postal Service will be unfunded. Thankfully, there's something you can do about it.
Please take a few minutes to call your senators and ask them to pass the the HEROES Act that would fund the U.S. Postal service -- which we need for vote-by-mail ahead. Call your senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them you support the HEROES Act.

It's no surprise that Mitch McConnell is holding funding for the Postal Service hostage. Riding on Trump's coattails as he attacks vote-by-mail and refusing to fund the U.S. Postal Service is a serious one-two punch from Republicans. We're really worried about "dual-risk" voters, people most likely to contract COVID-19 and the least likely to request a mail-in ballot, who will be relying on the U.S. Postal Service to cast their ballots.
A functioning U.S. Postal Service is vital to the vote-by-mail programs we'll need for the fall to keep people safe and ensure their voices are heard at the ballot box.
Here's a direct action we need you to take right now so we can fund the Postal Service: Call your senators at 202-224-3121 and ask that they support the HEROES Act.
Thank you for being in this fight.
Vote From Home 2020
P.S. You can call on the weekend and leave a voicemail for your senators about supporing the HEROES Act. No need to wait till Monday.
------------
Vote From Home 2020 is a grassroots movement that's making vote by mail more accessible. With a $25 donation, we'll send vote by mail applications to 20 voters. COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While volunteers can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for progressives, especially in solidly blue states, to get out the vote where it counts. By sending vote by mail ballots to targeted states and following up with text and calls to voters, we can ensure the 2020 general election is safe and accessible. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $25 so consider donating that today to support voting rights.
