When I saw that the GOP’s latest legislation included $880 billion in Medicaid cuts, my first thought was about the people in our community who would lose everything.

There are over half a million people in Philadelphia alone who rely on Medicaid, and I'm fighting for each and every one of them.

I’ve spent my life fighting for the people of Philadelphia. I know our strength, our heart, and our grit. The GOP’s plan to slash Medicaid to uplift billionaires is an attack on everything we stand for, and I won’t stay quiet while our neighbors suffer. Medicaid cuts would be detrimental to Pennsylvania. Take a look:

❌ A loss of 21,000 direct healthcare jobs.
❌ Another 19,000 jobs lost in related industries.
❌ Children below the poverty line — 80% of Medicaid recipients — left without care.
❌ Seniors and people with disabilities — 62% and 31% of Medicaid recipients — left without the support they need to live with dignity.

This is how you destroy an economy and destroy the health of the people who built it. If we let this happen, over 13 million Americans will feel the impact in the next decade. If that’s not an emergency, I don’t know what is.

I’ve said no to these cuts, and I’ll keep saying no. But if we want to put a real stop to the GOP’s cruel agenda, we also have to take back the House in 2026. That’s where you come in.
