We can’t wait anymore. We have to act now.

As you may know, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued a warning that if the Earth heats up by an average of 2 degrees Celsius, massive irreversible damage will be done to the planet.

But as The Washington Post reported, the Earth doesn’t heat up evenly. Many major areas in the United States have crossed or are close to the 2 degree Celsius mark.

The danger of climate change isn’t just from forest fires, melting glaciers, and flooding. It’s destroying local businesses that rely on seasonal tourism, eating away at coastal communities, and changing people’s way of life.

It’s clear as day — we need meaningful climate action now.

When I’m in Congress, I promise I will fight to save our planet. This means a Green New Deal to retool our economy and build a sustainable, equiatble, eco-friendly future.

That’s a promise you won’t hear my opponents make.
