Join The Heritage Foundation as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision Pierce v. Society of Sisters, which affirmed parental rights and religious liberty in education. This historic ruling struck down an Oregon law requiring all children to attend public schools, recognizing that children are “not mere creatures of the state,” and that parents “have the right, coupled with the high duty,” to direct their children's upbringing and education.

This event will feature distinguished speakers, panel discussions, and reflections on the enduring impact of Pierce in protecting parental rights, private and religious education, and the fundamental freedoms that define our nation. We will explore how this decision continues to shape debates on parental authority, religious liberty, and educational opportunity in America.

Advance registration is required for entry. Large bags or backpacks will not be permitted. Please be prepared to show valid ID and bags upon arrival.

This invitation is nontransferable.
