This is unbelievable, John.

Donald Trump just declared that he’d gladly accept a $400 million plane from the authoritarian regime of Qatar.

Not only is he going to use it as the next Air Force One, but he’s also taking the plane with him when he leaves office in 2029.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just unethical. It’s unconstitutional:

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State. ”
-Foreign Emoluments Clause of the United States Constitution

We’ve seen this before. From crypto “meme-coins” to Mar-a-Lago pay-to-play, Trump’s message is clear: if you’re rich, powerful, he’s for sale.

Enough is enough.

Congress must act now to block what amounts to a $400 million bribe to the president of the United States.
