Legislative Update
Friends,
We’re now in the final week of the legislative session, and we’re working around the clock to try and get a state budget done on time for Minnesotans. It’s been early mornings, late nights, and a lot of effort behind the scenes, but I’m staying focused on the priorities that matter most to our district.
Whether it’s supporting school choice, standing up for families, or making sure your tax dollars aren't wasted, I’m committed to representing our community with common sense and accountability.
Minnesotans Support School Choice
Last Tuesday, I joined families, teachers, and students at the Capitol to push back against Governor Walz's proposed cuts to non-public schools. It’s simple, parents should have the freedom to choose what’s best for their kids, and that means supporting families in the private, charter, and homeschool sectors. I’m proud to continue fighting for real school choice in Minnesota.
Recognizing Athletic Excellence
On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of meeting with the University of Minnesota Dance Team here at the Capitol. These talented young women just returned from the ICU World Championships where they brought home a gold medal in Pom and silver in Jazz, representing Team USA. With a record 23 national titles, the Gophers are proving that excellence is alive and well in Minnesota.
School Trips to the Capitol
I also had a great time meeting with students from St. Francis Middle School and a Montessori school from Princeton. The Montessori students are doing a project on me, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with. I'm glad to see young people get involved and learn about their state government.

National Police Week
Monday this week, I had the opportunity to meet with Minnesota’s State Patrol to honor National Police Week. These brave men and women put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, and they deserve our gratitude and support.

Rising Star from our District
Lastly, I want to give a shoutout to Ava Benjamin, a junior at Princeton High School, who served as a House page this week. Ava is involved in swimming and Youth in Government, and she plans to study pre-law at the University of Minnesota. She did a great job representing our district, and it’s encouraging to see students like her taking an active interest in how our government works.
That’s it for now. As we head into the final days of session, I’ll continue fighting for common-sense policies that make life better for Minnesotans. Thanks for your support, and as always, please reach out with any thoughts, questions, or concerns.
