The MAGA leadership in Congress wants to cut Medicaid and deprive millions of access to health care just to pay for tax breaks for their billionaire buddies—and assert control over our bodies and our futures.
These cuts would be especially devastating to people who rely on Medicaid for critical reproductive services like birth control, STI testing, cancer screenings, and maternal care.
Further, the proposed "defunding" of Planned Parenthood is aimed at making it even harder for lower-income people to access life-saving care.
Planned Parenthood already receives no federal funding for abortion care, so these cuts are directed at other critical services like cancer screenings.
