Folks –
When I joined the Senate, I made a promise to Delawareans that I would put their interests and concerns first.
That's why it's critical we demand that my fellow Senators reject the Save ACT, a voter suppression bill that would make it especially harder for women who've changed their names to vote – including me.
Before I explain more, will you add your support to encourage the Senate to vote 'NO' on the SAVE Act?
MAGA-aligned Republicans are backing this harmful bill not only to make voting more difficult but also to disenfranchise voters and undermine our democratic process.
This bill makes it harder for women who have changed their last names, the transgender community, and countless other Americans to exercise their right to vote.
When I was sworn into the House and the Senate, I carried this scarf with me.
It's imprinted with the document that granted my great-great-great grandfather the right to vote in 1867. It's a reminder of how far people of color have come. All the way from being enslaved, to finally getting the right to vote, to being elected to represent the First State.
That's why I will always fight to protect your right to vote.
If you're with me, will you add your name to reject the SAVE Act and ensure every voter has the opportunity to make their vote count? We need 5,000 signatures before midnight tonight so the Senate can hear your voice!
Thank you,
Lisa Blunt Rochester
