Hey John, just wanted to make sure you saw Carolyn’s note the other day about the urgent need to expand and protect voter rights in light of this pandemic.

We saw what happened in Wisconsin and most recently in Georgia, where numerous polling places were closed and countless voters were forced to wait in ridiculously long lines.

It’s time for Congress to pass a bill providing funding that allows universal, no-excuse vote-by-mail option for every registered voter, before it's too late. If you agree, add your name alongside Carolyn’s now.

Hey John,

As states start to reopen their economies and we flatten the COVID-19 curve, the reality is we are still experiencing a deadly pandemic, and medical experts are unsure if things will get better or worse before Election Day.

That’s why it’s imperative that we make it easy and safe for everyone to vote by mail this November.

Although we already have vote-by-mail here in the great state of Washington, it’s unfortunately not an option for millions of Americans in other states across the country. In April, we saw what happened during the primary election in Wisconsin, where voters were forced to leave their homes, put their health at risk, and wait in horrendously long lines just to make their voices heard.

With so much uncertainty around the future of this virus and how it will impact our elections, it's time for Congress to pass a bill providing funding that allows universal, no-excuse vote-by-mail option for every registered voter, before it's too late.

If you agree that every voter deserves the right to cast their vote safely in this critical election year, add your name to call on Congress to pass universal vote-by-mail now. [[link removed]]

In these troubling and unprecedented times, our leaders must put partisan politics aside to uphold the Constitution and protect our democracy.

Thanks for speaking up,

Carolyn
