Team, as I write this, Republicans in Congress are advancing a bill through Congress that would slash Medicaid and jeopardize nearly two million New Jerseyans’ access to health care — including more than half a million children — in order to pay for a massive tax break for billionaires like Elon Musk.

I want you to know that I’m fighting back in Congress every step of the way, and I’m going to keep doing everything within my power to stop this disastrous bill from ever becoming law.

But here’s something else we need to think about: this bill is a blueprint for the agenda Republicans will implement here in New Jersey if they win the governor’s race this year.

Cuts to Medicaid, cuts to food assistance, cuts to public schools, and giveaways to billionaires: that’s what’s in this bill, and that’s the agenda that Donald Trump and his allies want New Jersey’s next governor to help him execute.

We are the team that stands in the way — and we aren’t going anywhere.
