If we’re going to make the kind of progressive change our communities deserve and reverse the damage President Trump and Republicans have inflicted upon our country for the last four years, it’s not enough to hold the Democratic majority in the House this November: we need to flip the Senate.

To take back control of the Senate, we need to flip four seats from red to blue. One of the seats that we have a good chance to pick up would be extra sweet because it’s held by one of Trump’s most shameless sycophants: Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

It’s hard to believe, but Graham was once a harsh critic of Trump.

Though he once said Donald Trump is “not fit to be the President of the United States”, he changed his tune after the 2016 election. At every turn he’s been an enabler and cheerleader for Trump’s abuses, the very ones he used to warn about.

South Carolina can do better. And in November, with your help, we can help elect Democrat Jaime Harrison. Jaime is a great candidate who is breaking grassroots fundraising records, and it’s working. One recent poll showed him tied with Graham in polls at 42% to 42%.

Jaime was born and raised in South Carolina, growing up in poverty but surrounded by a community that lifted each other up. He went on to earn a scholarship from Yale University and graduated from Georgetown Law, working to give back to the community that came through for him throughout his life. He went on to become the first Black chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party.

Unlike Lindsey Graham, Jaime is an independent leader ready and willing to listen to the needs of South Carolinians. With our help, we can send him to Washington to do just that.
