Ten people—including actor Mel Gibson, who was convicted of domestic violence—were just granted presidential pardons. Not because they’ve changed. But because they asked for one thing: their guns back.
Each of these individuals has a criminal record. All of them explicitly said they want their gun rights restored. And Trump’s administration handed them a golden ticket.
This isn’t justice. It’s a favor to the rich, the connected, and the violent.
We don’t need more armed abusers walking our streets. We need accountability.
We need protection. We need a movement that fights for survivors and safe communities, no matter what administration is in power.
