The problem during Biden is the Feds were just absent. They let millions stream across the border, including criminals and did nothing to stop them.
Now, Trump is stopping them- but he is getting pushback on deporting the illegals!
Efforts at self-deportation are novel and encouraging. Clearly, something must be done- but even the Federal Government has limited resources.
That bring us to what we, in Arizona can do.
We passed the "Secure The Border" Act, in November, by popular referendum. That got over 62% of the vote.
We passed the "AZ ICE Act", which Gov. Hobbs callously vetoed. This would have outlawed sanctuary cities and enlisted AZ law enforcement to help with deportations.
Now, I am trying to pass a new piece of legislation to address the issue.
I am trying to pass a bill to require hospitals to check citizenship status- so we KNOW how much the illegals are costing us. We already know hospitals are going under for cost reasons, and we need to know the exact cost of this invasion in regards to public health and services.
We NEED to deport the illegals. Being able to deport them WILL improve life here and drive down costs.
