This is big: the PA State House just passed powerful pro-democracy legislation that will make voting more accessible, secure, and will help election workers count ballots faster. Speaker Joanna McClinton led the charge to get it done – and now we need to have her back for standing up for our democracy while Washington, DC is trying to tear it down: [link removed]
Here’s what this bill does:
🗳 Establishes early in-person voting across the state.
📬 Increases the number of secure ballot drop boxes.
✉️ Lets voters fix small mistakes on mail ballots so their vote still counts.
💻 Modernizes election technology so it’s more secure.
📦 Allows election workers to prepare mail-in ballots so they can get counted more quickly.
This is common-sense, pro-voter policy that puts Pennsylvania in line with Red and Blue states alike. It means shorter lines, less confusion, and more voices being heard.
None of this would have been possible without Speaker McClinton. While Trump and his allies are working to limit who can vote, the Speaker delivered a bold plan to make our democracy work better. For all of us.
