The WA529 GET Prepaid Plan [ [link removed] ] has been helping families build higher education savings since 1998. In recognition of National 529 Day, May 29, enter for a chance to win one of three $1,529 deposits into a new or existing GET account. 

On May 29, 2025, WA529 will randomly draw three (3) winners from eligible entries received. To claim the prize, the parent or guardian of the winning student must be a GET Prepaid Plan account owner within 5 business days of being notified as a winner (by 5:00 p.m. PDT on June 4, 2025). Winning entrants must either open a new GET account [ [link removed] ] with the student entrant listed as the beneficiary (GET's $25 minimum deposit is NOT required) or have an existing GET account with the student entrant as the beneficiary. Having an existing GET account does not increase your chances of winning and is not required. Read important details and Official Rules [ [link removed] ] below before entering.

*Office of State Treasurer Financial Wellness 101 Workshops*

In partnership with WorkSource of Thurston County [ [link removed] ], the Office of the State Treasurer provides financial Wellness one-on-one workshops in an effort to enhance financial education and empower individuals in Washington. These workshops educate participants on financial goal setting, budgeting, saving, credit management, and identity theft prevention and awareness. Attendees can participate either in person at WorkSource of Thurston County or online, making it accessible to people across the state. By equipping individuals with essential financial knowledge this partnership contributes to building a financially resilient community.
