I’m sick and tired of Republicans wasting time with silly stunts.
Last week, House Republicans decided to address what they think is the most pressing issue facing Americans: Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”
That’s right. With families struggling to afford child care, seniors rationing medication, and folks paying even more for groceries, they spent hours on this.
As if that wasn’t ridiculous enough, when I called them out for wasting our time, they started having a meltdown over people changing their names.
My constituents are counting on me to lower costs, and I’m sick and tired of Republicans wasting time with silly stunts to distract from the fact that they’re working to gut Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential programs.
Amid all the chaos, I continue fighting to tackle the real issues. That’s why I’ve called on Speaker Johnson to bring real legislation to the floor, so we can actually get to work.
