JD Vance went after Ilhan on social media in an attempt to rile up the
far-right against her and our progressive movement.
Here’s what happened: The video which JD Vance amplified was put out by a
fear-mongering, conspiracy-peddling account.
They selectively cut the video and took Ilhan’s words completely out of
context. She was having a nuanced and important conversation surrounding
the fact that white supremacists were responsible for 78% of
“extremist-related murders.”
Let’s be real: Trump and MAGA Republicans have been targeting our Squad
for years. We know by now they’re not interested in honest debates or real
policy discussions.
These smear campaigns are only going to get worse as Trump’s four-year
term unfolds. That’s why we have to be ready — and we have to stand
together.

Any contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
