Hey, John. It's Tiernan, Mark's Finance Director.

I'm reaching out because we have a big goal to hit this month, and in order to stay on track we need to have a really big next few days.

I've been crunching the numbers and in order to hit our goal at the end of the month, we need to raise $150,000 by Monday to stay on track.

This is one of the rare times where our goal is based on a number and not a number of donations. We don't do this often, so when we do we hope you know that the goal is real and we will be monitoring the progress this weekend.

Hitting this goal is so critical, because Mitch McConnell just unleashed his multi-million dollar ad blitz against us and we need the resources to set the record straight.

You can see how important this is. So here's the part where I ask:

If you are able, will you make a $3 donation to our people-powered campaign? We can't afford to fall short of this $150,000 goal, not when Mitch McConnell is spending millions on ads to defeat us.
