At Opportunity Arizona, we’re laser-focused on advocating for policies that improve the lives of hardworking Arizonans — something Judy has spent her life doing in her community. 

She represented her community in the Arizona State House from 2021 to 2024, advocating for policies that help working families get ahead.  

As someone who put the interests of her neighbors over the wealthy and powerful, Judy sponsored legislation to increase the salaries for all educators, make healthcare and housing more affordable for everyday Arizonans, and helped pass a bipartisan adult education bill to allow Arizonans to lift themselves out of poverty and provide employers with an educated workforce.

Before serving her community in the state legislature, she taught for 27 years at Cactus & Greenway High Schools, co-founded Theater Works and Desert Progressives Indivisible, and directed a wellness center at her church, Shadow Rock UCC. 

Judy’s commitment to properly investing in our public schools, addressing our affordable healthcare, housing, water, and climate crises, creating good-paying jobs, and protecting our fundamental freedoms perfectly aligns with our mission. 

She believes wholeheartedly in the American dream, John — and with Judy on the team, we will continue to build political power and fight for an Arizona where everyone has a chance to thrive.
