Hey, John!
Welcome back to What’s Happening with When We All Vote! This month, more than 26,000 local offices are on the ballot — yes, twenty-six thousand. We’re talking school boards, city councils, mayors, and judges — the people shaping what your neighborhood looks and feels like. That’s why our focus is exactly where it should be: local, local, local. Because when we show up in local elections, we’re not just making noise — we’re making change. Not sure where to start? We got you. Head to WhenWeAllVote.org to check your registration and get ready to make your voice heard. >>> [[link removed]]
Ok, let’s get into what we’ve been up to:
🌟 We’re throwing a party — but with a purpose! Next week, When We All Vote and the Change Collective are heading to Jackson, MS, for our Countdown to the Polls celebration — a night where civic engagement meets community vibes. We’ll have live training on hosting voting celebrations, convos with local leaders who actually get it, and a vibe complete with music, food, and free merch. And, it’s all happening ahead of Jackson’s June 3rd election, because who said getting out the vote can’t be fun and impactful? Know someone in Jackson, MS? Remind them to make their voices heard in June.
🌟 This Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re showing love and lifting voices. When We All Vote is celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and deep contributions of the AAPI community. We are honoring a legacy built on generations of grit, creativity, and joy, while celebrating milestones like the first Korean American Senator in New Jersey and the first Vietnamese American Congressman from California. With more than 15 million eligible AAPI voters — including 1.7 million Gen Z voters — this community is ready to turn celebration into civic action. Because honoring heritage means protecting it — and that starts at the ballot box.
John, with local elections happening all year long, now is the time to tap in, tell a friend, and take action. No matter where you live or what your ballot looks like, your vote is your voice — and around here, we’re making sure it gets heard.
Til next time,
— Beth
