My office is sharing the following information on federal grant opportunities available to you.

Featured Funding Opportunities

FY2025 Regional Food System Partnerships Program (RFSP)
- The RFSP supports partnerships that connect public and private resources to plan and develop local or regional food systems. The RFSP focuses on building and strengthening local or regional food economy viability and resilience. Applicants will work with their partners to catalyze the development of local or regional food systems.
- RFSP offers two types of projects, 24-month Planning and Design and 36-month Implementation and Expansion Projects.
- Applications are due on June 27, 2025.
2025 COPS Hiring Program (CHP)
- The goal of this program is to provide funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire additional career law enforcement officers in an effort to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
- The COPS Office will host an informational webinar on the COPS Hiring Program on May 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET. Register for the Webinar
- Applications are due by Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 4:59 PM ET.
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Request for Proposals
- Acres for America 2025
  - Acres for America is the NFWF’s premier land conservation program and was established to provide urgently needed funding for projects that conserve important large-scale habitats for fish, wildlife, and plants through voluntary land acquisitions and perpetual conservation easements.
  - This Request for Proposals will gather pre-proposals nationwide. NFWF will then choose a few applicants to submit full proposals. Applicants are encouraged to contact their regional NFWF office before submitting a pre-proposal to discuss project concepts and ideas.
  - Pre-Proposal Due Date: May 20, 2025, by 11:59 pm ET
  - Invite-Only Full Proposal Due Date: July 9, 2025, by 11:59 pm ET
- Northeast Forests and Rivers Fund 2025
  - The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is soliciting proposals for the Northeast Forests and Rivers Fund to restore and sustain healthy rivers, forests and grasslands that provide habitat for diverse fish and wildlife populations.
  - Full Proposal Due Date: June 26, 2025, 11:59 PM EDT
2025 COPS Office School Violence Prevention Program
- The goal of this program is to improve security at schools and on school grounds through the implementation of evidence-based school safety programs and technology.
- Applications are due by June 26, 2025 at 4:59 PM ET.

NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation
- Stay connected to learn about grant and financing opportunities, application deadlines, webinars and other resources related to water infrastructure funding.
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation: DEC Delivers
- DEC offers more than 100 major newsletter topics, including freshwater fishing and boating; regional newsletters; hazardous waste clean ups; air quality alerts; environmental tips on being more green; grant opportunities; job vacancies; county clean up announcements, and so many more.

Small Business Resources

The Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region. Since its start in 1984, the expert advisors of the Albany SBDC have worked directly with 28,053 businesses, helping them to invest $543,926,495 in the area's economy, and create or save 15,244 jobs.
