Last week, the administration released a new budget proposal – and it includes massive cuts to foreign assistance.  

Let me be clear: Foreign aid builds a stronger, safer world for us all.  

It means more health care and fewer preventable deaths. More education and less child marriage. More global stability and less widespread suffering.     

John, earlier this year, countless lifesaving programs were terminated. Please, tell Congress to restore critical foreign assistance funding.

When children are at their most vulnerable, humanitarian assistance provides food, clean water and safe shelter. It even reunites families after conflict tears kids from their parents’ arms.  

And once they’ve survived the worst of it, development aid helps their communities recover and thrive. 

Every dollar invested in these critical programs delivers powerful returns – not just in lives saved, but also in long-term prosperity. For instance, $1 spent on vaccines yields $54 in lower health care costs and increased productivity. 

These programs work, John … but they’re still at risk. Let’s speak up together so Congress hears us loud and clear!
