In the House, Mary Gay and her colleagues eliminated the arbitrary deadline to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), but Mitch McConnell’s GOP-led Senate has failed to do the same. The ERA would guarantee gender equality nationwide and ensure that women receive full protection under the law.
