ICYMI: Fullerton Mayor Fred Jung called a special City Council meeting for TONIGHT, May 13 at 5 PM to consider becoming a charter city — a major move that may lead to serious changes in city governance. A City Charter allows, via the California Constitution, a municipality greater power over local affairs. This change could expose the city to expensive lawsuits, allow it to bypass state housing mandates, limit public input, and may even enable Fullerton to opt out of vital state protections, like California’s SB54 sanctuary policy.
Fullerton is one of OC’s largest cities and home to the largest school in the CSU system - your input is important to influencing policy in our region.**
