Deciding to support Deb Haaland’s campaign was an easy decision. We have a lot in common: we both value our Native heritage, our public service, and our deep roots in the Southwest—and we believe in fighting fiercely for the communities that have too often been left behind.

Now, she’s stepping up to lead once more. As the former president of the Navajo Nation, I know what it means to answer the call to serve. But Deb Haaland has never backed down from a tough fight, and she won’t start now—not with the people of New Mexico counting on her.
