DOGE is using people's private data to track them, ICE is bypassing due process and carting people off to other countries (even if they’re here legally), and now the Trump administration is suggesting suspending habeas corpus.
Democrats and Republicans are alarmed about this. What the Trump Administration is doing is not constitutional–it’s bad for our democracy and bad for our country. We need leaders who are willing to fight back now more than ever.
Suhas isn’t afraid to go toe to toe with the Trump Administration to stand up for what’s right. At a time like this, he is the leader we need in Congress.
He delivered this resounding message: “... DHS mentioned they're going to go after members of Congress as well. And I just look at this and I say, as a member of Congress, if I'm going to be put behind bars for trying to stand up for the constitutional rights of my constituents, for standing up for civil liberties, bring it on, because this is ridiculous what they're doing right now.”
