My finance team just told me we’re trailing a bit behind our internal goals for May. This is a problem because what we raise together now will determine my team’s ability to respond to MAGA attacks on our work down the line.

I’m worried. Medicaid, Social Security, basic infrastructure, job opportunities for New Mexicans, and our public lands have never been more at risk than they are now under the current administration.

The Trump administration hopes you’re not paying attention, but they just put forward a budget for our National Parks that is outright hostile to our public lands – one of America’s greatest ideas. In all honesty, it’s probably the worst park service budget I’ve ever seen.

I’m fighting every day to protect public lands, clean energy projects, and the job opportunities they create, as well as the earned benefits, programs, and places — like local libraries — that countless New Mexicans rely on.
