Last week, supporters and alums from across the country came together to celebrate all of the incredible progress we’ve accomplished at our 20th Anniversary Gala. Here’s a quick recap if you were unable to join:

Rep. Abigail Spanberger sat down with us to discuss her run for Governor of Virginia, joining Emerge alums, Sec. Deb Haaland, Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis, and Sec. of State Shenna Bellows, who are running for Governor in their states of New Mexico, California, and Maine.

Emerge gave Michigan State Sen. Mallory McMorrow the Cecile Richards Impact Award for her leadership in passing the Reproductive Health Act to make reproductive choice possible and abortion care accessible. Now, she is stepping up to run for U.S. Senate in Michigan!

The ORIGINAL Emerge Woman, VP Kamala Harris, spoke out about the erosion of our democracy and our rights during the first 100 days of Trump. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of bridging engagement with meaningful action.

New Mexico State Sen. Cindy Nava was awarded the very first Kamala Harris Trailblazer Award after making history as the first Dreamer elected to office. When women lead, it inspires others to follow — creating a ripple effect for progress and change.

Emerge alum Former Houston City Council Member Amanda Edwards and Emerge Boot Camp cohort member Deja Foxx spoke on a panel to discuss running for Congress in special elections to represent TX-18 and AZ-07. With a new generation of leaders, these women are continuing to break down barriers in politics.

Thank you to all of our alums, speakers, and supporters who joined (in-person or virtually!) and helped us celebrate over 20 years of empowering women across the country to run, win, and lead. As we reflect on the work we’ve done, we must continue to look forward and build up a robust network of support.
