Today, the House Energy and Commerce Committee released the base text for its portion of the budget reconciliation bill. The current text defunds abortion providers and gender transition procedures, but the fight isn't over. In fact, it's really just begun.

Although the release of this text is encouraging, defunding abortion providers and gender transition procedures in reconciliation is far from a done deal. We need to keep the pressure on members of Congress and let them know that constituents like yourself don’t support their tax dollars being spent to end human life and inflict lasting harm on those experiencing distress related to their sex.
