Hurricane season is coming, and scientists are already sounding the alarm.
The 2025 season is predicted to be above average, with researchers predicting 17 named storms. We may even see our first named storm before the season officially starts — which has happened in seven of the last 10 years.1
It’s no mystery why hurricanes are becoming more frequent and more ferocious — it all comes back to burning fossil fuels.
And who’s responsible? Who’s profited the most? Big Oil. So why not name hurricanes after the real culprits?
