John, wanted to fill you in on a new exciting project we just launched! You can read more about it here in the SF Chronicle.

Last week, I officially launched the Build America Caucus, Congress’s first bipartisan, pro-growth caucus focused on building the housing, infrastructure, energy, and innovation we need. There’s been a lot of discussion recently about how we’ve lost our ability to do big things in America, including in Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson’s new book Abundance.

I believe that for too long, government has been bogged down by process instead of focused on results. I’m excited to help lead an effort to reimagine what government, and our party, can be: a builder of big, bold projects that actually improve people’s lives.

Over the past few months, I’ve worked to build a coalition of nearly 30 Members from across the ideological spectrum, and I’m excited to push forward legislation to build more housing, tackle energy permitting reform and speed up infrastructure projects.

I know we have a lot of chaos going on right now, and I believe it’s vital that we put out a forward looking vision of what government can, and should, be. I hope you’ll let me know your thoughts!
