Folks, it’s Charlie Bailey, newly elected chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia.

There couldn’t be a more exciting week to get to work as your new DPG Chair.

As y’all have seen, the 2026 election cycle is kicking into higher gear with Brian Kemp passing on running for Senate and self-proclaimed “MAGA warrior” Buddy Carter jumping into the race.

For the next year, GOP Senate hopefuls will grovel for Trump’s favor as they seek the honor of losing decisively to the strongest incumbent swing state Democrat up for re-election to the Senate.

We’ve been on the airwaves all over the state this week, from Atlanta to Columbus to Savannah, making sure Georgians know that the same Republicans who have hiked their bills, let their hospitals close, and threatened their benefits are now asking them for a promotion.

The Senate race kicking into gear is just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of hard work ahead, and I’m deeply honored to be your Chair and to lead this fight.
