What you need to know and how you can help

House Republicans are trying to take billions of dollars in climate funding away from households, workers, disadvantaged communities, businesses, cities, and more. We can’t let this happen.

We need your help now, .
We’ve been raising the alarm about Republican plans to attack essential programs like Medicaid, food assistance, and climate, clean energy, and environmental justice programs.
Last night, House Republicans made it official by releasing some of the actual text of their budget bill—which means NOW is the time to act.
The GOP Energy & Commerce Committee released a reckless spending plan that cuts essential, life-saving programs to fund a multi-trillion-dollar tax giveaway for billionaires, polluters, and big corporations.
We read through dozens of pages of bill text, summarized and analyzed the impacts ([link removed]), and have created a way for you to take action to defend these critical programs.
TAKE ACTION NOW ([link removed])
So, what’s on the line?
In addition to their shameful cuts to critical health programs like Medicaid, Republicans are going after at least $6.5 billion in climate and clean energy funding. They’re also abusing the rules of reconciliation by attempting to:
Repeal Clean Air Act standards that limit the amount of pollution cars and trucks can spew
Allow gas pipeline projects to bribe their way out of the normal permitting process with a $10 million payment
Repeal cost-saving, pollution-reducing programs like the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Environmental Justice Community Change Grants, Climate Pollution Reduction Grants, and more
The House is expected to vote on this NEXT WEEK so there is still a small window of time to act, and we need everyone stepping up.
Our families and communities deserve clean air, affordable energy, and a safer climate future. We’ve been warning for months that this Republican Congress would try to destroy so much of the progress we’ve made to tackle climate pollution, reduce toxic air pollution, and rising energy costs—well, now they are and now we must act.
Call your representatives today and tell them they cannot vote for a budget bill that repeals climate and clean energy programs, which protect our health, our pocketbooks, and our communities. ([link removed])

Thank you for taking action today and for being with us in the fight ahead.
