There's a lot to look forward to — the lake in the summer, long days, ice cream and cookouts, Mud Hens games. But summer also means the heat is on in our race.

Friend, summer is on the way, and I love summer in Toledo.

There's so much to look forward to — the lake in the summer, the long sunny days, ice cream and cookouts with family, going to Mud Hens games and more. And of course, all the gardening you could imagine. 

But the weather isn't the only thing that's getting hotter, friend. The NRCC and their special interest allies are already turning up the heat on our race.

They spent more than $20 million to try to buy this seat last year, and their dark-money attacks have already started again. They've launched not one, but two smear campaigns targeting me here in OH-09. Every time we beat them back, all they do is raise the stakes. 

But I'll never back down from fighting for the community that raised me.
