This Thursday, May 15, we will release Vintage 2024 city and town population estimates as well as national, state, and county housing unit estimates.

2023 Nonemployer Statistics
On Thursday, May 15, the Census Bureau is set to release the 2023 Nonemployer Statistics (NES) [ [link removed] ]. The NES is a data product released annually that provides subnational economic data for businesses that have no paid employees, are subject to federal income tax and have receipts of $1,000 or more ($1 or more for the Construction sector). Statistics are available for 18 industry sectors at varying levels of industry detail.Â
Community Resilience Estimates for Puerto Rico
On Thursday, May 15, the Census Bureau is scheduled to release Community Resilience Estimates (CRE) for Puerto Rico [ [link removed] ], which include population estimates by level of social vulnerability to disasters for the commonwealth, municipios, and census tracts. Our interactive tool provides users with an easy-to-use way to quickly look up and map neighborhoods with “low,” “medium,” and “high” social vulnerability.

Census data show that of the population age 25 and older in the U.S. in 2022:

?? 23% had a bachelor’s degree as their highest degree

Sunday, May 11, was the 167th anniversary of Minnesota [ [link removed] ]'s statehood.
Did you know: In Minnesota, the employment rate is *66.2%*, according to 2023 American Community Survey 1-Year Estimates. Nationwide, the employment rate is *60.6%*.
