The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has accelerated to catastrophic levels.

Borders remain closed. The health care system has collapsed. There are shortages of electricity, medicine, equipment and specialized personnel. Food supplies have vanished. The World Food Programme reports that all food stocks inside Gaza are gone.

No supplies have entered Gaza for nearly two months, creating a horrific situation – and made humanitarian operations nearly impossible.

Right now, no aid can get in. But Americares is not standing still. We continue to support our trusted partners so they can operate mobile medical clinics and provide mental health services, and we are helping them prepare – urgently – to send critical medicines and supplies when the border reopens.

Americares has been supporting the health system in the West Bank and Gaza for over 30 years. Since the conflict began in October 2023, we have:

• Delivered over 35 tons of medicine and medical supplies
• Provided $760,000 in funding for frontline medical teams and essential health care services
• Supported care for evacuees in neighboring countries, including Egypt

But we need your help to continue. When the borders open, the need will be overwhelming, and we must do everything we can to be ready for that crucial moment. That’s why we’re reaching out with an extremely urgent ask:
