42% of all U.S. births are covered by Medicaid. That includes 64% of all deliveries among Black women and 58% among Hispanic women. The average cost to give birth in the U.S. without insurance is $19,000.

75% of all public family planning services are paid for by Medicaid. Access to birth control is basic health care. Taking it away is wrong and will have devastating impacts, particularly on people with low incomes.

Women are the majority of Medicaid enrollees. Nearly 17 million women of reproductive age currently rely on Medicaid to access essential health care. Medicaid cuts are a gender justice issue!
