On March 31, we passed Senate Bill 1, the Fair and Safe Athletic Opportunities Act—also known as the Riley Gaines Act of 2025 — ensuring biological males cannot compete in girls' and women’s sports across our state. This landmark legislation, a top priority of mine since taking office in 2023, guarantees fairness and safety for our sisters and daughters. It requires schools and colleges to designate sports teams based on sex at birth, protecting female athletes' opportunities to compete, win scholarships, and shine. I was honored to join President Trump when he signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from women’s sports nationwide, and I’m thrilled to see Georgia leading the way. But the radical Left is fighting back, pouring millions into undoing our progress and pushing policies that threaten fairness and safety. We can’t let them win.
