Edan Alexander, the last living American hostage held in Gaza, is finally free. Following ongoing pressure from the US and Israel, Edan was released from Hamas captivity. 

A dual US-Israeli citizen, Edan was abducted from his military post near Kibbutz Nirim during the October 7 attack. For more than 580 excruciating days, his loved ones have spent every waking minute fighting for his return.

The Alexander family’s concerns were only exacerbated by Hamas’ relentless acts of psychological terror, including releasing a video showing Edan in distress and pleading for his freedom. Despite Hamas’ depraved actions, Edan and his family remained strong and will finally be reunited. 

Although Edan’s release is to be celebrated, we must not forget that the remains of four Americans are still being held by Hamas. Itay Chen, Gadi Haggai, Judi Weinstein Haggai, and Omer Neutra must be returned to their families, and ALL remaining hostages must be released. 

We will not rest until they all are home.
