President Donald Trump’s hard-nosed trade strategy with China is starting to pay off. According to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the Trump team made real progress this weekend during trade talks with Chinese officials in Switzerland.
 

“We’ll release more details Monday,” Bessent told reporters, “but I can say the talks were productive.” He said China’s vice premier and two top-level ministers sat down with Ambassador Jamieson Greer and myself, and both men spoke directly to President Trump to keep him fully updated.

President Donald Trump surprised everyone this week by stopping all U.S. bombing of the Houthis in Yemen. However, experts warn that this Iran-backed group is still dangerous. 
 

Speaking from the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said the Houthis “just don’t want to fight…and we will honor that. We will stop the bombings.” When asked about his source, Trump just laughed and said it was a “very good source.”
