Donald Trump is planning to throw himself a $100+ million military parade through the streets of Washington, D.C. in June — complete with tanks, fighter jets, and uniformed troops marching past the White House.

He says it’s to mark the Army’s 250th anniversary. But let’s be honest: it’s about his birthday. His ego. His dream of ruling like a dictator. And it’s happening unless we step in.

Here’s the good news: Trump can’t pull off this stunt without approval from D.C.’s top officials.

That means Mayor Muriel Bowser and the D.C. Council have the ability to stop this MAGA-style spectacle in its tracks by demanding Trump’s team cover every dollar in local costs, putting up permit delays, and refusing to let this become a violent crackdown on protestors.
