Today we celebrate the mothers who lift us up and commit to fighting for them every day.
Today on Mother’s Day, I’m reflecting on how grateful I am for my mother, Dawn. 🌸
Her support means everything to me – whether she is cheering me on during debates, making thousands of homemade campaign buttons, or always being the first to remind me what really matters.
And I know I’m not alone. Across New Hampshire and this country, mothers are the backbone of our families and communities.
But too often they’re asked to do it all without the support they deserve – working full-time jobs, managing households, caregiving, and still getting left behind when it comes to paid leave, affordable child care, and equal pay.
That’s why I’ve fought to pass legislation to cut taxes for working families and help close the gender pay gap.
And I’m going to keep pushing for policies that lift up moms – not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.
We owe them that much.
