Hey, today is Mother’s Day, so I wanted to take a moment to reach out and tell you about the most incredible mom I know: My wife, Brittany Pettersen.

The last year has been an eventful one for our country, and for our family right here in Colorado. Earlier this year, we welcomed our second son, Sam, to our family. Davis is clearly excited to be a big brother!

I am truly lucky to see Brittany’s love and dedication to our family on a daily basis. Whether she and Sam are in Washington or we’re all here in Colorado together, Brittany makes us proud every single day. Even though we have to spend time apart so Davis can go to school in Colorado and Brittany can represent her constituents in Washington, our family makes this sacrifice because the fight against Trump and for Colorado is more important than ever. Brittany never, ever quits. Her hard work and commitment to her job and her family inspires me every single day.

True story: One night, she even flew home from Washington on a red-eye flight, arriving at 3:30 in the morning, just so she could wake up at home with us a couple hours later.

And the truth is that unshakable devotion to our family and our children’s future makes her a pretty great Congresswoman too.

I know firsthand that Brittany will do whatever it takes to get things done for our family, and for families all across Colorado. Whether it’s securing millions of dollars to support early childhood education or protecting our children’s future by confronting the impacts of climate change, I couldn’t be more proud of what she’s getting done in Congress (even though I miss her when she’s in DC).

Finally, I wanted to reach out with a special request: If you believe we need more young moms like Brittany in Congress, will you pitch in a few dollars to support her today? Her leadership and her story truly stand out in Washington, and I’d be so grateful if you could pitch in to help her continue to use her voice for good.
